Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year

Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year

Mt. Lebanon School District is preparing to welcome students and staff back for the 2026–2027 school year, with the first day of school set for August 18 for students in grades 1–12 and August 20 for Kindergarten students.

This year marks the second year of the District's Leading the Way Strategic Plan (2025–2031). Staff completed all 32 goals set for 2025–2026, building on the plan's five focus areas: Leading for the Future, Engagement, Academic Excellence and Innovation, District Systems and Supports, and Safe, Supported, and Included.

Families can find everything they need to get ready, from important dates, school day details, technology resources, handbooks, health and meal information, transportation, and more,  in the MTLSD Back-to-School Guide. Building-specific information will follow in each school's back-to-school email on July 27.

A few things to know before the first day:

  • Student homeroom and schedule assignments will not be emailed this year. They'll be available only through the PowerSchool Portal starting Monday, July 27.
  • Families and students (in grades 4-12) must complete the annual Handbook & Technology Signoff Form in the PowerSchool Portal before a student's schedule becomes visible.
  • The 2026–2027 District Calendar stays up to date all year, with filtering by school, a print option, and student activities now included alongside academic dates.
